Following Shelly's lead, here are my Booked by 3 questions and answers:
1. Name the titles of 3 books (not necessarily the books, themselves) that you particularly like.
There are so many, so here are 3 quirky ones chosen from the books I own: Sex and Salmonella (by Kathleen Taylor), The Monkey's Raincoat (by Robert Crais), and Crouching Buzzard, Leaping Loon (by Donna Andrews).
2. Name 3 characters you found memorable and the books they appeared in.
Francie Nolan, from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (by Betty Smith). She's an avid reader, penny-candy connoisseur, and one of the most wonderful characters I've ever read.
Lucas Davenport, who appears in John Sandford's Prey series. He's tough with a big heart, and drives a cool car. ;) He's really evolved throughout the series.
Alan Banks, main character of Peter Robinson's series. He's smart, compassionate, loves music, but has flaws. Very real.
3. Give 3 favorite first lines and the books they came from.
"I turned the Chrysler onto the florida Turnpike with Rollo Kramer's headless body in the trunk, and all the time I'm thinking I should have put some plastic down. (Gun Monkeys by Victor Gischler)
"They were barefoot when they were sent home, their dripping feet leaving prints that evaporated almost instantly, as if they had never been there at all. (Every Secret Thing by Laura Lippman)
"The last thing Paige Baker saw before fleeing her family's campsite was the blood dripping from her father's ax." (Cold Fear by Rick Mofina)
If you post your answers on a blog, be sure to let me know!
Your first lines are intriguing . . .

I love those titles, especially Sex and Salmonella. And the first lines are great. I have Every Secret Thing on my TBR stack. It's my next gym book once I finish Acid Row. Thanks for playing. :)

I enjoyed reading your answers and thank you for stopping by. I love Francie Nolan too. I haven't read that book in such a long time. I've been curious about Laura Lippman's series and must now move that up on the reading stack.

I've read the Monkey's Raincoat, bought a couple Robert Crais books afterward. I'm beginning to think that that's his only good book.
