With fall comes the new TV season, and this year there are a number of crime & mystery dramas. I've sampled a few, and the reviews are mixed.
I like the premise of Reunion. Flashback to 1986...six friends prepare to graduate from high school. Viewers then learn that in present day one of them has been murdered. The episodes play out one per year, and will end in present day where the identities of the victim and the killer will be revealed. As someone who was about the same age as the characters when the show starts, I'm looking forward to the trip through the years. It's too early to judge the mystery aspect, but I'm hoping it will play out well.
Bones is based on the work of author and forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. I've watched two episodes, and that was two episodes too many. The main character was too much of a cliché, the acting was awkward, and the storylines were predictable and over the top at times. No thank you.
Prison Break has inconsistencies and small plot holes, but I like it. It reminds me a bit of HBO's Oz, which is a good thing. The whole conspiracy storyline is okay, but the real draw for me is the cast of characters.
There are a few other shows that have yet to be aired (Criminal Minds, Killer Instinct, Night Stalker).
My only guilty pleasure is Medium. I love it.

I couldn't stand Bones, which is really too bad because I like the books, and was more than willing to give the show a chance. I just don't like the actress who plays Tempe, and there's zero chemistry between her & the cop.

I hate television, but I'm addicted to Prison Break. As for your plot holes, I think they are not holes but stuff that will come up later. I'm hoping, anyway.
The conspiracy stuff could use some work. The scenes are too dry. They need some spice.
