Of all the Oscar nominated films this year, Crash has the most curse words. I just learned that there's a group/website that tracks cursing in movies - FamilyMedia.com. Just for the record, Platoon holds the record for most (329) profanities in an Oscar winning film, and The Deer Hunter is runner-up with 208 curse words.
According to the linked article:
"FamilyMediaGuide says it makes no judgment on a movie's value, but simply tracks instances of profanity, sex, violence and tobacco use as a guide to parents."
Uh huh.
Imagine, though, a similar site dealing with books. It could be quite interesting. I can certainly think of a few front-runners!
